Never played MAGIC THE GATHERING before, but this character looked like a pretty cool character.

Added belts across to have some S&M feel. The original was wearing robes and cloth, thought he looked cooler in leather.

First time I've ever commented here; your Jace and Garruk are both awesome. If you do more planeswalkers, I hope you'll consider Venser; there doesn't seem to be any fanart at all for him.

Thank you. I was in the midst of painting Ajani Goldmane halfway when work got in the way and I had to stop that side project, will post it soon hopefully.

I am not familiar of Venser, or most other planeswalker characters, but what I googled looked pretty interesting. He has Garruk's helm and a bit roman-ish garb.

What's really interesting is that his back story has hinted a little that he might become "darker" when printed again, and he does look darker here. Might be part of why I like it so much.

Dude, this pic is awesome! As an avid player of MTG myself, I think you did a great rendition of Jace. You should consider doing a pic of Sarkhan Vol!

Truthfully, I am not MTG card gamer. The illustration pieces were actually work related. But it was still quite fun doing the concept art works! There are a few characters I wanna try out when I have the time and Sarkhan will definitely be one of them!
